Rapid City is the largest urban expansion in the entire western part of South Dakota. Rapid City offers folks developed commercial and residential areas that provide the entire state with somewhat of an economic flow (that and the major eastern city of Sioux Falls is a major contributor). The houses in this area are very affordable and spacious as well, and the downtown area has a hospital, a civic area, many shopping plazas, and a business park which offers jobs to the surrounding communities. People who like South Dakota but aren't willing to go rural also tend to search Sioux Falls rental homes. Rapid City is a beautiful area that sees true seasons and healthy growth.
